1 OVERVIEW

For the collaboration between Liquid Death and Heavy Pedal, I directed and photographed a campaign that fused cycling and death metal. The project included packaging photography, and a campaign film for the exclusive Liquid Death kits.

2 PROCESS

The campaign leaned into the 90s skate visuals. I shot with a Sony VX1000 paired with my Death Lens MK1. To layer in texture, I brought in a Bolex Super 16mm film camera. The interplay of DV tape grit with the warmth of 16mm film created a mixed-media aesthetic that felt true to the campaign.

The final film blended the worlds of action sports and street culture, perfectly aligning with the brands’ identities. Our approach to production, editing, and art direction resulted in a campaign that felt both raw and polished, bringing together the past and present with a distinct 90s skate vibe.
